Stephania Mortimer is the lead stylist and owner of “Stephania Coiffure” hair salon located in Amityville, New York.

Stephania loves cutting hair—it’s how she expresses herself artistically. She got her first start at 10 years-old cutting and styling Barbie dolls. At 15, she moved on to her first human client—mom. Smitten by the craft, Stephania studied cosmetology in a three year program at Le Centre de Formation d'Apprentis (CFA) Institute Coiffure in Paris, France.

Stephania moved to New York City at 23 years old and has since worked at salons all over the New York such as John Masters Organic, ULTA and Snips—children’s haircuts. She has also received additional training and specializes in Redken cuts and color, Keratin treatments, styling special needs children, natural hair and extensions.

Stephania’s mission is to have her clients feel beautiful and aspire to do great things just by looking good. She also believes that teaching clients about their own hair is of the utmost importance. She educates her clients on how to maintain their style once they get home.

Stephania is also a mother, lives in Queens and enjoys taking two-hour long walks on Sundays—it helps her to relax.
